About this guide
Updated . By the DV Lottery Guide editorial team.
DV Lottery Guide is an independent website. It is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of State or any other U.S. government agency. The only place to enter the Diversity Visa lottery is dvprogram.state.gov.
What this site does
The editorial team writes plain-language pages about DV eligibility, the photo rules, and the DV-2027 registration status. Pages cite the State Department and the Federal Register. When official instructions for DV-2027 are not published yet, the page says so.
How the site makes money
Reading the guide is free. An optional photo service, linked as the DV Photo Maker, prepares a 600×600 entry photo. That service is not the lottery entry and it does not charge the official $1 registration fee. The fee is paid only on dvprogram.state.gov. The photo service describes its own terms on its DV photo page.
Who writes it
Pages are attributed to the DV Lottery Guide editorial team. This site does not present a named individual author.
